La Casa del Maestro

The bathroom was nice, breakfast was tasty, and most of the staff were friendly. The location was fantastic. Still, I wouldn't stay here again because of the window in our room. We weren't told about it when booking, and knowing in advance would've mattered. We'd chosen the place from its photos at £150 a night. Room 12, which we were assigned, had glass so heavily glazed we couldn't see outside at all. The Booking.com photos were misleading. We opened the window to get some natural light, but there was another open window directly opposite, so anyone there could look right in. I knew the hotel had no lift, but I hadn't expected 59 steps to reach the room. Carrying our suitcase up was difficult, and when leaving we took our luggage downstairs in bags and packed the case in the lobby. The receptionist was friendly at first, then unsympathetic, and eventually offered a very small room on a lower floor. We stayed in the dark room because it had more space. I later noticed other low-rated reviews had mentioned Room 12 too.

Lola at reception was extremely helpful and informative. The room was nice, the bed comfortable, and the shower good. Breakfast was mostly continental, with good coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. The location was great, about 1 km from the Cathedral, La Giralda and Alcazar, with Plaza de Espana a few hundred metres farther.

A lovely building with a beautiful patio, and the beds and breakfast were both very good. The staff were genuinely hospitable. It's ideally placed for visiting the old part of Sevilla, and we'd happily come back someday.

We spent five nights here and loved the stay. The room was super clean, and breakfast was tasty and plentiful. It was also perfectly placed for exploring Seville. Every staff member was friendly, kind, and went out of their way to help. It felt like an authentic Spanish experience.
