We only ended up here because we hadn’t planned ahead and the other hotels in the area were booked. After checking in, we found hair on the bed and dust that looked like it had built up for years. The room was cold in December because, they told us, the AC was broken. The staff were helpful, but there wasn’t anything they could do about it. I can’t understand how this old, somewhat dirty three-star hotel could cost more than a four-star place in a slightly better location. After one night we left and found a hotel ten times nicer for less money.

We left in the end and found another place. At least they let us go without a fuss and didn’t ask for a cancellation fee. The first room was dirty, with black marks on the bedding, an open wardrobe and a strange smell. It looked as if cleaning had been abandoned halfway through. They moved us to a supposedly better room, but it had black mold-like patches everywhere and still smelled odd. After about fifteen minutes our throats were irritated. I wouldn’t recommend it. There are much nicer, cheaper places nearby.

My room faced the back, so it was really quiet, and it was nice. The breakfast buffet was basic but enough for me. The hotel is conveniently close to the main Armas bus station, about a 15-minute walk.

I had to switch hotels because of availability and stayed here for just one night. I wish I’d booked Reyes Catolicos for my whole time in Seville. The room was lovely and big, the shower was good, service was good, and the location was great.
