Our room was spacious, with a good bathroom and air conditioning. The staff were also very accommodating about our bicycles, letting us lock them to a railing under the stairs. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. The hotel sits in the old city, close to the port, and is much better than its one-star rating suggests.

We spent two nights here on a short honeymoon in Tarifa. The rooms were very affordable, and there are great restaurants just downstairs. It’s also perfectly placed for catching a ferry from the port for a day trip to Morocco. Awesome spot to stay!

I felt comfortable here for the whole week, and there’s no curfew, so you have quite a lot of freedom. The place was super clean, the rooms smelled lovely, and the cleaning staff did a really good job. It’s also very close to both the beach and the old town.

Our room had a sea-facing terrace, a comfortable bed, and a great shower. Hostal Alameda is a charming place, decorated with care, and some rooms are built into the old city walls. It’s an easy enough walk from the bus station, right by the pier for ferries to and from Tangier, and surrounded by restaurants. The TI office is close too. The hotel replied quickly when we contacted them, and the staff were lovely. We only wish we’d had longer to enjoy the place.

We really appreciated the privacy, the friendly staff, and the stay overall. Our room had a terrace and sea view, which we enjoyed a lot. We had to check out a night early, and the staff kindly refunded that night even though they didn’t have to. The central location looked like it might be busy and loud, but we didn’t hear any commotion. A very nice hotel, and we’d happily return.
