Hotel Colón Plaza

We got more than we expected from Hotel Colon. On our drive from Madrid to Cantabria, we only wanted a basic place for a short overnight stop, but the room was very nice, with a comfortable bed and thick towels. The staff made us feel welcome, and it was great value. The park in front was lovely for a morning walk, while the old town was a good place for tapas and an evening stroll. We'd definitely return. We arrived late Thursday night and easily found parking in nearby public areas. There was no charge after 8pm (?) and Friday was free because it was a holiday.

Cycling friendly, and I would happily stay again. It's a quiet hotel with comfortable beds, about a ten minute walk from the Plaza Major in Valladolid and across from a lovely park.

We had a clean, comfortable room and excellent service, with a delicious breakfast. The warm, freshly baked bread and olive oils were especially good. The location made it easy to walk all around town, and the train station was only a couple of blocks away. A great place to stay in Valladolid, Spain.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and very clean, and the staff were really lovely. I speak Spanish, but my granny doesn't, and they spoke very good English with her. They helped carry our bags and gave us a box of chocolates when we left. There were free sweets in the room when we arrived, too, and we had a very nice balcony view. The buffet breakfast was really good. The location is perfect, beside the train station and within easy walking distance of Campo Grande park, shops, bars, and restaurants. Would highly recommend!
