Aparthotel La Vall Blanca

The rooms were okay, but the WiFi didn’t work at all. The review ends there, so I can’t say what else was missing.

Our renovated one-bedroom apartment was cozy, very clean, warm and fully equipped. It had a living room and kitchen, plus a sofa bed, and worked perfectly for two adults and two children. Private parking was available, and the apartment was close to all the town’s amenities. Ski storage was free, as was parking. Looking at photos in other reviews, I suppose the experience may depend on which apartment you get, but ours was very good.

The location was good and the bed was comfortable, but several problems made the stay unpleasant. A terrible smell came up from the bathroom drain, so we had to keep the door shut, and opening it in the morning was distressing. The extractor fan was incredibly noisy, as if something inside were loose, so we couldn’t use it. Soundproofing was poor: we heard hallway conversations, the elevator, and people’s suitcases, along with people dancing outside, which made for an unwanted wake-up call. There was also a tobacco smell in the room. I suppose some guests ignore the rules.

The reception team were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the apartment was fresh, comfortable and clean. It looked just like the photos, maybe even better. The living room had large windows and great views, and the kitchen had everything needed. Sleeping here was a delight. At night, opening the window brought in a lovely cool breeze, even during a heatwave. I highly recommend it.
