Holiday Hotel

For a stopover in addis ababa, it's generally not bad. The bed was clean, which is what matters to me, and the staff were helpful and very friendly. The food was average. Just be aware this is Holiday Hotel, not Holiday Inn.

The hotel is right in Adis Ababa city, with Ethiopian cuisine available, plus a restaurant and a bar with football screens. Once you've booked, they provide free airport pickup and drop-off.

The room was spacious and clean, with everything I needed, and the view was breathtaking. There was plenty of room to feel comfortable, especially if you're travelling with a big family. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and gave me a real taste of Ethiopian cuisine. Every meal was delicious. My time at Holiday Hotel in Ethiopia was only during a flight transit, but it felt like a mini-vacation. The service, space, food, and view were well worth the price, and the staff were polite, kind, and always ready to help. The calm, friendly atmosphere gave me a warm first impression of Ethiopia. I'm grateful they signed me in, and I'd recommend staying here whether you're visiting for longer or just stopping over. I'll definitely come back.

The rooms were fine and the hotel was clean, but I had a very bad experience here in transit. The food was undercooked and caused me stomach pain and diarrhea, and the “transit menu” had very few choices. There were no snacks or tea breaks, even though it was cold and I got hungry quickly. If you don't have money, you end up hungry and thirsty. Staff were unfriendly and wouldn't give me water when I asked. I had to wait for the next meal for a small 250ml bottle of water and a tiny glass of juice. I'd advise transit passengers to avoid it if they can.
