The room was spacious, and having my own place for the week made it feel worth the price. I stayed in July 2025, and the surroundings were calm. One thing caught me out: the booking site said there was luggage storage, but you can only get to it after check-in, once the access code arrives by text. I couldn’t leave my bags first and go explore. Still, I had a lovely stay. There’s a small convenience store and a tram stop nearby, and Kamppi commercial center is about a 10-minute walk away.

We were a family of three and spent nine days here. The location made it a handy base for Helsinki and beyond: the tram into the city is two minutes away, two supermarkets and a major shopping centre are within a five-minute walk, and beaches, parks and the city centre are easy to reach on foot. The apartment was clean, ready for us, and had all the equipment we needed, including a fridge, freezer, oven, hob, microwave, utensils, openers and pans. Our unit had a washing machine, which was very useful; there were shared laundry facilities too, including a drying room. The shower was excellent and the beds were comfortable. Wi-Fi was good, and the TV looked like it had Netflix, though we didn’t use it. The building seemed busy but we had no noise problems. Check-in instructions arrived when promised, and we’d happily book here again.

I didn’t sleep at all. The key lock system failed, leaving several guests, me included, outside in -4°C for nearly an hour. Other stranded guests eventually got us into the building, but then we spent another hour in the hallway without any support. A maintenance worker showed up at 00:45, unlocked our rooms, and left straight away. He seemed completely unconcerned. The keypads then beeped loudly through the night. Guests kept calling the front desk and hearing that maintenance would arrive soon, while some people were sleeping on the hallway floor. Terrible service and a terrible place. I would NOT recommend it.

My friend thought the apartment could have been cleaner. It’s opposite a school, and the location is convenient for getting into town by tram or bus. Helsinki’s more central areas are walkable too, roughly 25 minutes away, though public transport is good.
