Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the hosts were kind and knew the town well. We also loved the house itself, full of character, with thoughtful touches in the room that made it comfortable for travelers. Its location and atmosphere made for a really pleasant stay.

The host even picked us up from the train station, which we really appreciated. We spent five days here and found the place quiet, with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The location and accommodations were lovely, and the host was friendly and gave us lots of tips on restaurants and places to see. And don't miss breakfast, we loved it.

Breakfast featured local food, including marmalade, juice, yogurt, croissants, and eggs or omelettes, and we really enjoyed both the stay and the town. The hosts welcomed us warmly, and the couple speaks English as well as French. They provide each guest with a Bayeux Visitor guide. Our apartment was roomy, with a living room, kettle, microwave, large bathroom, and bedroom with a sofa. The house felt warm and inviting, and it's on a quiet street just around the corner from the main shops and restaurants. Street parking is available, first come, first served.

We had no trouble finding a street parking spot within a block of the gite, though that's where parking is available. The owners were welcoming and gave us helpful information, speaking with us in English and French to help us get settled in the area. The gite was spacious, with a full kitchen and two bedrooms.
