Hôtel Comté de Nice

The location is the real advantage: between Nice and Monaco, and handy for getting to LuxPack Monaco events without paying Monaco prices. For a short business trip, it works if you mainly need somewhere to sleep or do remote work. The hotel is very basic and the prices feel steep. A simple room costs what a 5-star place might in Dubai or Shanghai, though that's the region. Breakfast is minimal, but a couple of good cafés are a short walk away. There wasn't bottled water or even a glass for tap water, which felt like basic guest care was missing. Acceptable for a practical short stay, just don't expect comfort.

Sofia at reception really won my heart. She was always smiling, kind, and helpful, and patiently answered all our questions and doubts. She made us feel welcome and supported the whole time. People like her make a real difference to a stay. Compliments to her, 10/10 for her incredible work!

I only used the luggage storage, I didn't stay at the hotel, but Sophia's kindness and professionalism really impressed me. I wanted to commend her service. I don't often write a review just about the service I've received.

The staff couldn't have been nicer, and we got a lovely continental breakfast with plenty of fresh bread, local jams, and fruit. The room was clean, spacious, and functional, with a huge comfortable bed, air conditioning, and a small balcony. We were exhausted from travelling, and when we explained that, they let my fiancé and me check in two hours early. The street was fairly quiet despite the busy marina nearby and the train line running quite close. Cafés, restaurants, and small shops were an easy walk away, as were the beach and train station. The train ride to Nice airport and Monaco was quick. The village had plenty of tourists but still felt calm and not overcrowded, without the rows of souvenir shops you see at some other seaside resorts. The water was crystal clear and the beaches were beautiful and clean. The downside was the lack of sand, mostly pebbles or grit depending on the beach. It was a great stay, and I'd love to come back next year.
