La Maison De Maurice

Adriana was quick and clear in all her messages before we arrived, and helped us get into the guest house, learn about the area, and find free parking. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thanks for your hospitality, Adriana! We stayed in the Penthouse at La Maison de Maurice, a spacious and beautiful place in the heart of Beaune. It has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a comfortable living area, and a lovely balcony. The spiral staircase up to it is rather narrow, but we had no trouble with it. The kitchen has a large fridge, stovetop, microwave, mixing bowls, wine glasses, and an opener. There were also bathroom amenities, places to hang clothes, an iron and ironing board, and a large bottle of water to start us off. The air conditioning was wonderful. Restaurants, wine shops, brasseries, patisseries, and all kinds of shops are within walking distance. We highly recommend it.

The staff were outstanding. The family hotel's owner's sister or daughter was filling in, and she was charming and accommodating. She arranged two terrific dinner reservations and hosted a phenomenal wine tasting for us. There's also a tasting room on the premises. This was one of our favorite stays on our trip to France with our girls. The Beaune location was perfect, and our room was large, nicely updated, and extremely clean. We loved our visit and will definitely stay here again.

The duplex room is amazing, and I loved its layout. The shutters on the sunny windows are a great idea, and the coffee pods were a nice touch. It gets a little cramped around the shower because of how the loft space is designed. The stairs are the main downside: they're slippery, and hauling a large suitcase up them would be a nightmare.

We could walk everywhere in Beaune from the hotel, and found free parking a few blocks away. Our room was beautiful and clean, with exposed timber beams and everything we needed. Such an amazing place to stay right in the heart of Beaune.
