Hôtel Le Cyrano

It’s a motel-style hotel with all the basic amenities, a good breakfast, and friendly staff. The airport is very close, about seven minutes away. The downside is that the brand-new parking area has no electric vehicle charging point. Hopefully that gets sorted soon.

I usually steer clear of low-budget chain restaurants, but this one pleasantly surprised me. The food was tasty and better quality than I expected for the price. For €11, you get a main course plus a choice of starters or desserts from the open buffet. It’s worth trying if you’re passing by.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which was the one upside. Our twin room had a nauseating smell that I suspect came from the drains, and the shower head had no hook to hold it up, so we couldn’t get a proper shower. That evening the restaurant only served a pasta buffet, which I couldn’t eat. They also didn’t have even simple cheese board snacks when I asked.

The room looked very tidy at first, with a bath and shower. The young man at reception was very helpful. It’s well placed for the shopping center and lots of restaurants. The town center is a 10-minute drive away, and the bus only runs Monday to Saturday.
