The place has everything you need for a self-catering stay. It's just below the citadel, so both that and the city centre are a short walk away. Getting in was straightforward: a keypad at the street entrance, then another in the courtyard to reach the key safe. Garage parking is available a little way along the road. We left with plenty of the city and nearby countryside still to explore, so we expect to come back for longer.

We spent an extended period there and were delighted with the experience. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Its spot in the heart of Besançon, close to all amenities, was ideal. The owner was very friendly and quick to respond, and we'd highly recommend it.

The manager was on hand for questions and gave us good recommendations, even when we arrived very late. The apartment was spotless and comfortable, right in the city centre below the citadel. A great base for a few days exploring the region.
