Our youth group stayed busy for hours with the snooker table and keyboard. The conference room was great too, and I’d happily come back ☺️

The bar has a great range, and the staff were lovely. I spilled coffee on the floor, and they had cleaned it up before I even got around to asking for help. Thanks, Caroline.

Breakfast was included and really good, and the rooftop has a lovely view of the old bridge. The place is affordable, the staff are friendly, and we enjoyed our stay enough to come back next time.

The terrace has an amazing view, and the food is good. But this place really isn't youth-friendly. In summer it feels like a big bunker, with no air conditioning or even ventilation. If you open the curtains, other hostel guests can see you through the window.

The staff were very nice and tried their best to speak English, which I appreciated since I know virtually no French. The terrace on the third floor is huge and has an amazing view across the street at the Old Bridge. The rooms, oddly, look onto an inner courtyard instead. It's a massive hostel, with a lobby about the size of a typical 40-bed hostel, and it was open and working quite well after lockdown when I stayed in mid-July 2020. There’s a proper kitchen, unlike at most HI hostels. Breakfast was just carbs and coffee, so I cooked some eggs for myself. Finding free parking was unclear, and I accidentally parked in a private lot attached to the hostel. My main gripe was the lack of comfortable places to relax or work. During my stay, the kitchen was the only common area with lights on, so that's where everyone camped out.
