It’s handy for visiting Calvi and affordable enough. At night, the place felt rather empty and dark, and more lighting would help. The light outside our room wasn’t working.

Think of these as very basic holiday apartments more than a hotel, though they’re decent for what they are. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the beach, 10 minutes to the tourist areas in town, and an hour on foot to the airport.

We had a lovely patio right in front of the house, perfect for eating outdoors, and the mattresses were comfortable. There was air conditioning, too. The private house is charming and very close to central Calvi. A large, well-stocked supermarket with reasonable prices is just a one-minute walk away. I highly recommend it for an affordable stay in Calvi.
