Richard and his family were excellent hosts, welcoming us warmly and making us feel at home. They were always ready with tips for restaurants, wineries, chateaux, and more. Breakfast was delicious too. We stayed four nights in late August. The house is stunning, with carefully furnished, well-maintained rooms, and the extensive grounds are peaceful and lovely to explore. Our two children spent hours with the friendly dogs and farm animals. It’s also a great base for exploring the Loire, with several castles within a 30-45 minute drive and lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

We were cycling in mid September and stayed for two nights. Richard and Sophie were such warm hosts and made us feel very welcome. After a couple of hot days, it was lovely to use the pool after our rides and enjoy the beautiful gardens. Our suite was thoughtfully decorated and very well maintained. The bed was comfortable, with a lovely view of the Parc, and the birds in the morning made everything feel calm and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully served in their lovely dining room, with local fruit, jams, and their own honey. I also loved the big fluffy towels, as small scratchy ones are a bugbear of mine. The location is great for exploring the Loire and close to the bike tracks. Fantastic, highly recommended.

You really do feel like you’re in La Loire here. The place is lovely, with outdoor space and comfortable, nicely decorated interiors. Richard looked after us so well throughout our stay. And the delicious breakfast was the cherry on top.

We stayed in the ground-floor suite, and Richard’s daughter and Richard were both very nice and helpful. They spoke perfect English. Richard’s extensive garden surrounds a lovely French Manor House and pool, and the eggs, honey, jams, and other breakfast items come from the garden. Breakfast was really good. Richard also recommended local restaurants and, on the same day, managed to get us a special table in the wine room at the Michelin star restaurant Christoph Haye. It was spectacular, so a big thanks to him for everything. Blois is a ten-minute drive away, where we visited the museum of magic, and several Loire valley chateaux are very close by.
