Residence Bouttau

We spent four summer days here, and sleep was rough the whole time. The place was poorly maintained, and our apartment had a terrible smell. The air conditioning barely worked, leaked water, and flooded the living room floor, so we had to lay towels down. It was hot, but opening the window at night brought in noise from all the people passing by late. Even with the windows shut, it was too loud. The thin curtains let in too much light as well. The one thing I liked was how easy it was to get around from here. But it sits on a busy alley, with several restaurants right below our room.

We were told on arrival that there was a £70 cleaning charge, which came as a shock because nobody had mentioned it beforehand. The woman at the hotel provided poor, unprofessional service. The photos don't show what the place actually looks like, and the sofa beds were uncomfortable, with no proper beds. There weren't any shampoos or other toiletries either. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Spacious, clean, and good value. My only real gripe was the nearly see-through curtain on the interior window from the living room to the corridor.

The location was good, but the apartment was tiny and horrible, cold, damp, noisy, and smelly. I wanted to get out of there as fast as possible.
