During our two-month trip around France for food, this was our best lunch menu du jour. The food was tastier and better value than at some MICHELIN recommended restaurants, and the service was really warm and friendly.

We paid 125 euros a night for two nights in August, and at checkout we were told to strip the beds, clean, and wash the dishes, though that was included in the price. The staff were very unfriendly, and the jams and juices on offer were expired, thankfully we hadn't used them. The manager's response to that comment is in the photo.

The new ownership is such a shame after the previous owners, who were better. Rooms we'd booked by phone were cancelled without our consent, and I found the manager dishonest and disrespectful to customers. It's shameful and unacceptable, and I can't recommend this guesthouse when there are much better hotels and guesthouses around.

The team at the Pas Sage restaurant were very friendly. The guesthouse itself is right below the ramparts, with a lovely air-conditioned room, comfortable bedding and, above all, great cleanliness.

It's a real shame there's new ownership. We booked directly with the manager for July 13th to 15th, and she confirmed twice that everything was arranged and that we could pay the deposit. Two days later, she emailed to cancel because she hadn't noticed Booking.com was fully booked for those dates. Completely unprofessional.
