We found the staff polite, and I’d happily book here again if I return to Carcassonne. The location is handy, about a ten minute walk to the town centre or medieval city, with riverside walks and plenty of restaurants nearby. Our room was great and had a balcony overlooking the Medieval city, though I can’t say whether all rooms do. Breakfast is a decent value buffet with hot and cold options, but it could sometimes have been replenished more often.

We really liked the medieval, romantic decor and the view of the old city, and the location was excellent. The team were welcoming, sincere, and very professional. There were a few room issues, though: dust in the corners, paint coming off in the bathroom, and a broken tap. Even so, we had a very good stay.

The attendants were friendly and helpful, and the views of Carcassonne’s famous castle and walls were the best part. A beautiful hotel.

The room was good and so was the location, but on July 14th the hotel closed the terrace to guests until 10pm, despite repeatedly confirming by phone that we’d have full access. They also didn’t seem to know what parking would be like in the city on its busiest day of the year. That doesn’t feel worthy of a 4 star hotel.

The balcony view was wow. The staff were super friendly, and the room had everything you could need. There are lots of little touches that make for a great stay. I’d suggest getting a room in the low 200s if you want a great view.
