ibis Styles Chaumont Centre Gare

The rooms are fine, the hotel is good, and breakfast was good too. But we booked after a long drive because the listing advertised a restaurant and secure parking. On arrival, we learned the restaurant was closed for holidays and the garage was full. They should have posted both updates on the site. Otherwise Accor's site feels unreliable and dishonest.

An ideal spot for an overnight stay, with friendly staff, a lovely restaurant and a great breakfast. The room was beautiful and clean, the bed comfortable, and the walk-in shower huge. Private parking costs €10. There's an impressive viaduct nearby.

The location is excellent and this is a great hotel. The beds were okay, though not great. Breakfast was below average, with too little variety compared with other Ibis Styles I've stayed in, where the food was better. There wasn't any healthy food available either.

The hotel itself was nicely appointed. We had a good dinner in the restaurant, enjoyed breakfast, and found our room clean and neat. It's well placed for exploring town on foot. Parking was the letdown, as we'd chosen the hotel because it said parking was available. I tried calling while we were on the road but couldn't get through. The car park entrance tunnel was really tight and difficult to pull into. Then the desk staff told us there were no spaces. When we asked if they could open the gates so we could turn around, they refused, and we had to reverse out with great difficulty. Disappointing that the staff weren't helpful and parking wasn't available.
