The Originals Résidence, Appart’Hôtel les Lauréades, Clermont-Ferrand

The room was smelly and didn’t work well. It was hot and stuffy, but there was no way to open the window for fresh air. People partying late at the nearby residence made it noisy at night. We raised the issues with reception and the manager, but nothing got fixed, just a plain “sorry.” Luckily we were only there one night. If we’d stayed longer, we would have moved out and looked for somewhere else after that sleepless night.

You can check in late, which is handy, and the accommodation is nice and affordable. The rooms are a little old, but fair for what you pay.

I had a wonderful six-night stay, and everything went smoothly. The apartments are spacious, bright, and clean, in a central but very quiet spot. The people working here were kind and helpful, and my towels were replaced on time. There’s also a supermarket downstairs, which is convenient. I’d definitely recommend it.

I’d avoid this place. The rooms were dirty, there was no air conditioning, and things were broken, including the lift. The staff weren’t very helpful either. We cut our stay short and left after two nights, but the hotel refused to shorten it and made me pay for the whole week. An awful place.
