Domaine de la Partoucie

Fabienne and Michel were delightful hosts and made sure we had a lovely time. The old buildings are magnificent, and the modern bedrooms are spacious and lovely. We enjoyed our stay so much that it felt much too short. We'd gladly return, even making a detour if we were in the area.

I'm sorry this review is late. We had such a lovely stay: a beautiful, peaceful location, an amazing room, delicious breakfasts, and Fabienne was so kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at La Partoucie. The hosts made us feel very welcome and everything was clean. Breakfast can be enjoyed out on the Terrace if you like, which is lovely. We didn't swim, but the pool looked very nice, and the gardens are immaculately kept. Thank you!

The large swimming pool is the reason I'm giving three stars. I know the many five-star reviews suggest this works well for most guests, but it wasn't right for me. I find the « chambre d’hôtes style » a bit intrusive, with service and quality that felt below what I expect and privacy that seemed questionable. The modern decor in the house and room didn't make up for the comfort and atmosphere, which fell short of what we wanted on holiday. We like to feel at home and have a little « discrete » luxury, and we didn't find that here. The bath and bed linens seemed poor quality, and nobody offered replacements if needed. I was allowed to use the kitchen to prepare food for my baby, but felt watched, as though it was a big favor. The phrase « fait maison » came up over and over, but the quality should speak for itself when it's really there. I could go on, but would rather leave it here. This place didn't meet my expectations, and I wouldn't personally recommend it.
