The location suited our Paris Olympics trip, and the room was reasonably clean. We could get fresh towels from the front desk, but room service only came once a week. There's laundry on site, though you have to pay and bring your own detergent. For the first few days, we couldn't even use the kettle without the electricity cutting out. The hotel was full, so we had to wait three days to move rooms. After that, the power worked fine. The price was higher than usual, which was understandable for the Olympics, but I wouldn't recommend staying here unless it was much cheaper.

We really liked the location, and the staff were lovely. It's about a 10-minute walk to LA defense grand arch. The room had no knives or closet safe, the bathroom fan was missing, and its door was broken and needed a hard shove to open. The fridge and heater were loud, there was no flat sheet under the thick comforter, and both mattresses had huge pee spots and looked filthy. The elevator light flickered, and the lift sometimes returned to floor 0 without opening at our floor, or opened on the wrong floor even though we had selected just one. Given all that, the price could have been a little lower.

The apartment's condition made an already upsetting stay even worse. There was a stain in the bathroom that looked like blood and wouldn't come off, the sofa bed seemed to have bedbugs, and the sheets clearly hadn't been washed. When we told Karim, he laughed and said bedbugs were “normal in Paris.” He wouldn't give us clean sheets, only a couple of small towels, and told us to wait until the next day because the room's cleanliness wasn't his problem. We ended up going out that night to buy bedbug spray ourselves. The room service also wasn't included. It was only free once a week, which was nowhere near enough for our family of five staying several days. We were there from 24 to 29 August. At arrival, while we were discussing the room and payment, receptionist Karim snatched the reservation paper from us and insisted we pay the full amount right away at the entrance. We were ready to pay, but I asked if it might be better to settle breakfast and other services when we left. He laughed, asked what village we came from, and kept pressuring us in a threatening way to pay faster. It was shocking and especially upsetting with our children there. The next day, I raised the issues with other staff, but nothing changed. After that, staff stopped greeting us and treated us with indifference. We felt unwelcome and unsafe throughout the stay. The only decent moment was at checkout, when Ali was polite. That couldn't make up for the days of stress and discomfort. The rude treatment from Karim, poor cleanliness and lack of basic service left us deeply disappointed. Families and anyone who cares about respect, hygiene and safety should avoid this residence.

For two days my room had no hot water, and I couldn't even shower in another room. The reception staff didn't speak English. After I tried three times, the French man finally got a pen and paper to write things down, then rudely said there was nothing he could do and no technician available. I don't understand why I didn't even get an apology. This was the worst hotel stay I've had, and for the price, you can find somewhere else.
