Logis Auberge de Chavannes

We really enjoyed breakfast here, and the restaurant is a highlight, with excellent quality food that would be a lovely start or finish to a holiday. There’s also a great selection of quality local wines. The place was spotless and welcoming, and the service was friendly, helpful, and professional. It’s a perfect stopover, about a 6.5 hour drive from Calais and less than 3 hours from the French Alps.

The couple who run this place were so helpful and understanding when our campervan broke down and we needed somewhere to stay in an emergency. We’d happily stay again. It’s a peaceful spot, with calming gardens, and our room was comfortable, with lovely locally made toiletries. They had plenty of local wines, beers, and soft drinks. Breakfast was lovely too, with homemade pastries and cakes alongside savoury options. We came across the hotel by chance, but the customer service was superb.

We may have had our best meal of more than three weeks in France at the hotel restaurant. It was expensive, but absolutely delicious. The bedroom was very comfortable and reasonably priced, with a large bed and good equipment. Madame was really helpful and speaks English.

We left dinner feeling really happy and satisfied. The food was delicious and beautifully plated, and the service was perfect. It’s an amazing French restaurant, highly recommended if you’re after good cuisine in a lovely atmosphere.
