Domaine de Divonne

The rooms are generously sized, have everything you need, and are good value. I also liked having the casino right next door. Domaine de Divonne is an old hotel, but I enjoyed it a lot and would definitely return.

The pool and spa were included in the price, and both were nice. We also loved the room and the surroundings. The stay exceeded our expectations.

There’s lots of parking, so it worked really well as a road trip stop. We drove to Lake Annecy and found the location handy for exploring Geneva by car. The hotel has a great 1930s Art Deco look, and the dated room suited that style, though I did think the price was a bit high given there hasn’t been a recent update. Our room was very spacious, and the air conditioning was noisy, but it didn’t bother us. I was there with my 17-year-old daughter. I’d booked bed and breakfast, but only my breakfast was included, so hers cost an extra €22. The breakfast itself was good.

I stayed for three weeks and was very happy with the service. The reception team were professional, polite, serious, and always ready to help, whether I needed something for the room, a restaurant or event reservation, or advice about the area. The room was bright, and the temperature was generally just right. The heating and cooling system worked very well when needed. Housekeeping came daily, the white sheets were spotless and changed on time, and the bed was always made perfectly. Thanks to the cleaning team. Breakfast was good, and there was enough parking even on busy days. The hotel could use some small renovations, but its atmosphere makes up for that. A lovely place for a stay, vacation, or event. I’ll happily come back.
