4/10
The apartment was a decent size and the location was good, but I wasn’t impressed by the hotel’s facilities or service. The bathroom smelled bad, and the unit hadn’t been cleaned properly when we arrived. The weekly cleaning was poor, and when I asked for an extra cleaning, my request was ignored. For a duplex, all the views faced other buildings, which was disappointing. There were limited hours for children to use the pool, so taking them early was difficult, and the restaurant wasn’t open all day. Managing our bags was a struggle too, since the hotel had just one large trolley and one small one for so many units.

The room looked very worn, and the air conditioning was out during the hottest weather, so we could hardly sleep. There was no room service either. If you needed something, you had to go down to the lobby and get it yourself. I don’t know if the way we were treated had anything to do with us being Arab, but hotels should show respect to all kinds of people. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

6/10
The room was roomy, nicely appointed, and had a good bed, though it felt rather impersonal. The breakfast selection was very limited, and nobody mentioned the spa at check-in. I arrived late in the evening, so maybe that was fine. The lake view is oversold: from the balcony you look out over another building and a car park, with the lake far away. It’s a reasonable budget hotel, but after driving 20 minutes from GVA airport, there are similar places to choose from. Fine for an overnight stop, but I wouldn’t stay longer than a night.

The breakfast was fairly varied, with good coffee, and the free internet worked well. The room was a decent size, with a large comfortable bed, a small work area, and a bath. Some spots weren’t clean, though, and the little bar was empty. The small bathtub felt awkward and rather worn. It’s a nice hotel, but there are a few things that could be better.

We found a good online deal, and the room, food, and massage were all fairly priced. The room had a nice view and a peaceful feel. The spa is small, but it has everything you need. Good value for the money.
