L'hôtel Le Rochelois

There’s street parking, and the walk into the center takes about 30 minutes. It’s a pleasant route with some good views. We only stayed one night, and the stay was somewhere between fine and disappointing. Our shower drain didn’t work properly, so using the shower without flooding the bathroom wasn’t possible. The room could have been cleaner too, with dust on the bathroom vent.

The seaside views from the balcony were lovely, and the fridge and on-site parking were useful extras. The room was clean and worked well for a short stay, though it felt expensive for what was provided. There was no coffee maker or safe. The automatic heating was irritating, and the air conditioning was very loud, even though having it was a plus in warm weather.

The balcony had great views, and our room was spacious, cool, and quiet. The hotel is a bit out of town, so getting to the harbor meant a walk, but we thought it was worth it. Secure underground parking for our two motorbikes was a real bonus. We didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t say how it was.

It’s a quiet spot with the aquarium and other things not far away, and there’s a free private car park and a swimming pool. Our clean, spacious room had a balcony with chairs, a big shower, and a good-sized bathroom. Best of all, the hotel looks out over the sea and the views are wonderful. I’d recommend it.
