Camping d'Arrouach

Lac de Lourdes is just a 15 minute walk away, and this site is a great place to stay while you're there. The views are stunning, the pool is heated, and the restaurant is on site. Facilities for showers and toilets are good, staff are incredibly friendly, and it's dog friendly too. Highly recommended!

The facilities are modern and clean, and the showers are excellent. A few drawbacks, though: they're mixed sex, there was often no soap, and the toilets had no seats. The grass pitches are level, and the site has a pretty, smaller farm style feel. The pool was open when we stayed in mid June. Reception closes for lunch and at 6pm, so booking online may be worth considering. It opens again by 9am for bread, and the restaurant looked nice. It's about a 20 minute walk into Lourdes, mostly through urban areas. There was talk of a bus, but I don't know more. The grotto and basilica are truly impressive, and Lourdes itself is quite nice. A couple of streets are full of tourist tat, while the area around the market hall feels quite upmarket.

That lovely swimming pool was a real highlight. It's about a 30 minute walk to the domain in Lourdes, and we just wished we could've stayed longer. Can't wait to come back. Thanks!

The pool was a great free bonus, with a nice view and a lovely spot to relax after hiking. There's a nice lake nearby, too. The campsite itself is simple and pleasant, with lots of shade and big pitches. Showers were basic but fine. It's a little outside Lourdes, and public transport isn't great. Google doesn't seem to show the buses, but they do run, so check the timetable at the stop.
