Suite Fortuny

Beautiful room, but you have to share with the owner, and there’s no breakfast.

Please see my review on booking.

Viviane is lovely and very attentive, and the place was spotless. I stayed from May 8th to 12th in a quiet building on the 8th floor. The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well. Whether using the shower or bath, the water was very hot. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely return when I’m in Bordeaux.

The listing needs clear, factual information about what kind of rooms are being offered. We’d booked a suite with a king-size bed, but only discovered on arrival that it was a room in the host’s private home. We couldn’t accept sleeping in the host’s home, so she offered us a suite on the same landing with a 140 cm bed instead. My tall companion’s feet stuck out, which is why we’d booked a king-size bed, and he didn’t sleep all night. The host said we’d misread the listing. We’ve seen several traveler messages over recent years describing the same problems, so we believe the lack of transparency about the rooms is deliberate to attract travelers. We absolutely don’t recommend this accommodation. The price doesn’t match the quality or the transparency of the service.
