For a night in Modane, this was a perfectly decent choice. The room was clean and fairly modern, and the station is right across the street.

The staff went out of their way to help us. We arrived very early after hiking in Vanoise, but they were happy to let us check in ahead of time. Later, when I left a personal item behind, they helped sort out how to get it back to me, and it made it home in the end. Getting around is easy from here, since the hotel is beside the train and bus station. There’s also free parking across the river, just over the nearby bridge. The rooms were neat and the staff very polite. I’m really grateful for how they looked after us.

A few places to eat are right outside, and the station is just next door. Check-in is self-service, and be ready to use the stairs to reach your room. The room itself was nice.

We paid 30€ each per night for a triple room, which felt like a very fair price. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated.

We hadn’t expected it to be so nice. The place was freshly renovated, really clean and cosy, and in a perfect spot. It was peaceful too.
