The staff were extremely helpful, and breakfast was served at the house. We had a house for our holiday with the boys, so there was plenty of space. It came with a kitchen, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher, though we hardly used the kitchen since we ate out. The pool was clean and pleasant, with water jets and bubbles. The sauna wasn’t as hot as we’re used to, but the steam room was nice.

We had no hot water on the first day, so everyone had cold showers. There was nobody to report it to, and the boiler was locked away in a cupboard. The beds were uncomfortable, and six of us had to share one sofa. I’m not kidding, it was the most uncomfortable sofa I’ve ever sat on. The food was dreadful, just microwave meals, and five out of six arrived cold or partly frozen. I also cut my foot on a water vent in the swimming pool. The response was simply, “Sorry, that way is A&E.” I needed three stitches. I wouldn’t go back or recommend the place to someone I disliked. Yeah, it was that bad.

A quiet, clean hotel with plenty of space. It feels like an escape from the city, even though you’re right in the middle of it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for that.

I felt relaxed here. It’s peaceful and pretty, with a pool, spa and a small garden.
