Azur Hotel

The beach is right across the road, and there are several buses into town that take about ten minutes. The host was welcoming and available, breakfast was adequate, and the beds were made and towels changed daily. Soap was replaced every day too, which felt wasteful, and the towels were changed more often than needed. There isn't a lift, so bear that in mind if you're unsteady on your feet. We had two rooms, both comfortable: a double for one or two with a balcony facing a courtyard, and a larger room for three with a sea view. The bigger room was much better. In the smaller one, the A/C didn't work well and a shelf above the sink made it hard to use. Its “courtyard” was really just a gap between buildings. I'd stay again, but would choose a sea-view room.

The owner was really welcoming and helpful, and there’s a tram stop nearby. It’s a dated, no-frills hotel, but very clean and with a lovely sea view. You get what you pay for.

The one positive is the location on the Promenade des anglais. We planned to arrive late, sleep, and leave very early, but even that didn't work out. I'm very disappointed and have nothing else good to say about the hotel. A big no.

Stay away. The place was dirty and noisy, the shower only had cold water, and the A/C made a lot of noise while running. The staff were unfriendly, and the hotel didn't really look like the pictures.
