L'Etoile Ap4169 By Riviera Holiday Homes

We were disappointed with both the home and the Riveria Holiday Homes team. The place was poorly cleaned throughout, and most of the dishes were dirty enough that we had to wash them ourselves before using them. Basic supplies were missing, including shower gel, paper towels, and washing liquid, so we had to buy them. There was a terrible smell coming from the bathroom when we arrived. We raised it with the Riviera contact, Sandrine, who said she already knew about it and that we'd have to put up with it. No fix was offered, so we spent the first day trying to sort it out ourselves. We also got in touch several times during the stay about other items and weren't offered help. After our much better experiences with other agencies and homes in the area, this was surprisingly poor. I wouldn't recommend using this company.

We loved the house's setting on the top floor, with views over the city rooftops, and the kitchen was well equipped. The shower pressure was very low, while the TV had only a few channels and sometimes a bad signal. We didn't come to Nice to watch TV anyway ;-) There was also some noise from construction in the backyard during our February 2026 stay.

The balcony has lovely views, and the apartment itself was quiet and tidy. It's a little outside Villefranche Sur Mer, though, and the hill on the walk into town and back is steep.

We rented a large apartment in Villefranche over Christmas and the company was great to work with. Their communication was first class throughout. Sandrine, our main contact, deserves a special mention.
