Logis Hôtel Marguerite

I’ve stayed in Paris several times, but this is the first hotel that’s felt just right for me. The staff were all kind, even though I don’t speak French, and the hotel had everything I needed with a good atmosphere. I spent three nights in a single room and didn’t have breakfast. The room was clean, new and spacious enough for one person. The city location was convenient, with the nearby metro connecting well to everywhere, and the area felt safe with lots of good restaurants. The room rate was around average, and a little more convenient than some others. This is now my favourite hotel in Paris, and I strongly recommend it. Believe me, they’re the best :)

Parking was straightforward. I used a nearby underground car park, then exchanged the ticket at the hotel front desk. The location is central and close to town and restaurants. The hotel was clean and modern, and the staff were friendly and helpful all week, always seeming genuinely glad to assist. The soundproofing could be better, since I heard people at reception and in the kitchen in the mornings.

My room was fine, but the bathroom made noise all night. There was just one pillow and it was hard, and there weren’t enough plug points for charging electronics. Staff did find somewhere for our bikes. The place calls itself a boutique hotel, though that mostly seemed to mean a strange dark blue and green colour scheme and clocks that were only decorative. There’s no bar or restaurant, or the kind of facilities you’d expect from a good hotel. Having to use a code to get through the front door after ten felt more like a boarding house. Breakfast cost extra and looked nice, but the choice was very limited and there was no protein. I’ll give them credit for finding gluten-free bread that wasn’t horrible. It wasn’t bad overall, but definitely not worth the price.

We found it quiet and easy to get around from here. Parking was convenient and inexpensive, just a minute away, and the hotel was close to wine bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and the market. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were helpful and personable. It’s a perfect spot for a night or two in Orleans.
