Hotel Bachaumont

We had a lovely stay, with a great room, a nice fitness suite, and a great breakfast. But the real highlight was Raphael, the barman. He made the single best night of piscos and basil smash I’ve ever had. Absolute hero. You’re lucky to have him.

The restaurant was great for dinner, and the bar felt cozy. Breakfast was more hit and miss: the quality was fine, but some days the buffet seemed to be missing toast bread, croissants, or cheese, and the bacon was cold. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location. Our room was good, though the bathroom door was strange and hard to close, and we could hear some metro noise on the second floor. The elevator broke while we were in it. Some staff were very helpful, especially when we arrived, while others, mostly in cleaning, were rude.

We asked for a balcony room in advance, and it turned out to be a great choice. The room was just the right size for two, the bathroom was spacious compared with other hotels, and the balcony view was beautiful. The fridge wasn’t working during our stay, though, so we couldn’t use it or get cold water. The hotel was really nice, with quick service and reception staff who were always smiling and kind. It’s very safe and quiet unless you choose a balcony room, which can be a little noisy. The location is excellent: Uber makes it easy to get around, and most places are walkable. I’d definitely stay here again if I visit Paris.

We had such an easy stay with my father, who isn’t very mobile. A special thank you to Ahmed at reception for that. The staff were super friendly in general. The hotel is on a quiet street right next to the buzzing rue Montorgueil, and the location is great. We really enjoyed our stay. Merci merci, and until next time.
