Charming Apartment - AC- 2bd/8p - Port Royal

The people at the hotel made my first solo trip to Paris feel like home, maybe more than my own city ever has. I’ll definitely return. Paris left me with a very positive mark, and I’m grateful for the care and hospitality. I came to Paris last week hoping to find better opportunities that fit my creative path. A lot of unexpected things made the trip challenging, almost like a test of faith. I won’t go into the room or services since there’s already plenty of information about them. What mattered most was how supported I felt by the staff as I took that leap. On the first night, I was having a really hard time and went to reception for a bottle of water. I came back with water, but also with a lot of gratitude for the kindness and lovely energy they gave me. It helped me get my strength back and keep going. That kind of support continued every day. The location is the standout here. The hotel is in the 5th arrondissement, with a metro station right across the street and rue Mouffetard’s market strip about five minutes away. It’s a great budget option for a Paris getaway, and I’d recommend it and come back. Our room at Port-Royal-Hôtel was cozy and nice. It had a washbasin, and the shared showers were consistently clean and pleasant. Housekeeping was a handy extra, and the staff were always friendly.

The walls are so thin that you hear all sorts of noise from neighboring rooms. I couldn’t sleep without earplugs. Breakfast uses good quality ingredients, though the choices are few and all sweet. On the plus side, the rooms are spacious and clean, the bed is comfortable, and the location is excellent. Staff are friendly and there around the clock. Check-in and check-out were easy, with shops, restaurants, and public transport close by.

I chose a double room with its own bathroom and was glad I did for the extra comfort. The staff were helpful and friendly, and it was quiet in the hotel. It’s a lovely little historic place in a safe, scenic neighborhood, close enough to reach the main tourist sights by metro or on foot. The continental breakfast doesn’t have much variety, just croissants, baguette, spreads, yogurt, espresso and espresso drinks. That worked perfectly for me since I’d have a croissant and espresso anyway. I’d book here again.
