Hôtel du Lys

I've been coming to Paris every year and have stayed at Hotel du Lys for the past 26 years. I love its historic feel and charming quirks. Each room has a different, interesting layout. You're between the Fifth and Sixth Arrondissements, with Notre Dame in sight, and the neighborhood feels lively and safe. Walid and An are especially accommodating and work hard to meet guests' needs. Breakfast is included and has fruit, cheese, and delicious croissants and bread from an artisanal bakery. Staying here feels special and distinctly Parisian. I highly recommend it.

We had such a great stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, and breakfast was a delicious, typical French spread. The rooms are quaint and full of charm, and the location is hard to beat for the price. We absolutely loved it.

The wonky walls, floors, and doors are part of the charm in this 17th-century Latin Quarter hotel near Notre Dame. It's a three-star place with plenty of character. The staircase is pretty scary and the lift has to be the tiniest in the world, but we slept really well, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was nice. Here, “tired and dated” just means 500 years of crooked.

We stayed at Hotel Du Lys in Paris with our two daughters from Aug 2-6, 2025. By the morning of Aug 5, we had hundreds of bedbug bites. When we checked the mattresses, there were blood spots everywhere and a serious infestation. The hotel said it would refund our stay and arranged another hotel for our final night, but despite repeated emails, it never paid back nearly $1200. My arms are badly and permanently scarred from the bites, and I'm still receiving dermatology treatment almost three months later. Avoid this place. It is literally infested, and they promised a refund they never issued.
