Hôtel Pastel Paris

The staff were lovely, helpful, and attentive, but the rest left me disappointed. For what the stay costs, the standard felt genuinely weak. My room was tiny, and the bathroom was even smaller than the one in my student dorm, no exaggeration. The room didn't match the price. Breakfast was another letdown, with only sweet food and nothing savory. If you don't start the day with a croissant and jam, there was basically nothing for you. In this price range in Paris, there are much better options. I left feeling like I'd paid hotel prices to stay in a motel.

The bed and pillows were super comfy and fluffy, though the shower was a bit small, even for Asians. That's a minor inconvenience overall. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, spoke excellent English, and went the extra mile. The location is central, with multiple metro lines and bus stops easily accessible. Fantastic stay in Paris, and I'll definitely be back.

We had a great time and would definitely return. The neighborhood is great, with several metro stations within walking distance and lots of restaurants nearby. Our room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet. The beds and pillows were good quality, and there was plenty of space for clothes. The bathroom was small but sufficient, with a good shower. Breakfast wasn't worth mentioning. Next time I'd just get coffee and a croissant from a bakery.

The location is sensational, the staff are very friendly, and the room was lovely. My only criticism is that there's no minibar; it would be useful, though it's not a very common hotel feature in Europe generally, so that wouldn't put me off. I'd definitely stay again. I actually think their key system is quite good, too.
