The room was okay and the price was good, but one staff member who checked us in was very rude and didn't speak English, which really spoiled the experience. At breakfast one day, a homeless person was eating there and the staff seemed not to care. I'm not judging, but sharing breakfast with someone who was dirty and smelled awful was horrible.

The room stayed hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable, and it seriously affected my stay. I chose Ibis Styles Paris Jardin de la Villette because the listing said rooms had air conditioning, but the system wasn’t working. Around 11:00 p.m. on 29/09/2025, I went to reception for help. The staff member was extremely rude and said there was no need to turn it on because it was cold. Staff shouldn’t decide whether guests can use the equipment. This was misleading information and disrespectful service. I’d like appropriate action so this doesn’t happen again, along with fair compensation for the inconvenience. I look forward to your response.

We were left outside for hours with our luggage locked inside the room after being locked out of the two rooms we’d booked. Customer service was nonexistent. In the other room, the air conditioner leaked water, and the replacement room they offered had lights that didn’t work. The elevator was the smallest I’ve ever seen. They still refused even a partial refund after such a bad stay. No exaggeration, this was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Do NOT go anywhere near it.

Breakfast was a mixed bag: I managed to find one or two things to eat, and the orange juice was fresh. But the stay itself was a horrible nightmare. The air conditioner in Rome 302 poured water into the room all night, and the rooms and corridors were filthy, like a dungeon. I met a very aggressive man in customer service. I don’t know how the name ibis can be attached to this place. We got no compensation despite the awful experience. The standard is far too poor for a hotel in Paris. If you want a pleasant stay, run away.

The friendly staff and plentiful, delicious breakfast were real positives. Room 603 is very big, and with a proper clean and update, plus access to the roof top terrace, it could be a winner. I especially want to mention Reception staff, particularly Bara. Bless him, he tried his best, though it can’t be pleasant dealing with the same complaints over and over. The carpet was disgusting, so we asked for extra towels to avoid walking on it between the bed and bathroom. Only one electrical point worked, and the shower was oddly tucked under the sloping roof, with no thought for taller guests. Given the room rates, carpet cleaning shouldn’t be a huge expense. I know renovation is coming, but the hotel should close the worst rooms, deep clean the rest, and then sell them to the public. It’s sad that a hotel so close to Rosa Parks station, with a freedom theme throughout and Martin Luther King’s words on the room carpet, is left in such a disgusting state. It feels disrespectful. Shame.
