Kraft Hotel

The rooms were tiny, the bathroom even smaller, and the single lift barely fit one person with one piece of luggage. Cleanliness was poor: the carpets looked old and dirty, the drapes were dusty, and the narrow, dark corridors smelled bad. The bathroom smelled too. There was no tissue box, the toilet paper and towels felt very cheap, and the wall had cheap hand-drawn “art work!!!!” instead of proper decoration. This was meant to be a 4-star hotel, but it barely felt worth two. I don’t know who hands out the stars, but that rating is nowhere near accurate. Maybe it’s worth 50 bucs a night, even in Paris, but no more.

It’s a nice little hotel in a great spot for the conference centre, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. I could hear people coming and going outside my room early and late, and it wasn’t clear what the breakfast included. I’d still stay here again.

The room’s French-style window was my favorite, with a really beautiful view outside. The hotel was well priced, the surroundings felt safe, and the overall atmosphere was good. It’s near the subway and the staff were friendly. I visited in Oct, 2024.

The room was clean but tiny, with a lovely little window into local life: balcony chairs ready for morning coffee and impromptu “home exhibitions.” The Expo Centre is just a short walk away, a real help after a long day on your feet. Kraft Hotel has thoughtful details throughout, from the classical shapes and elegant lines to the wall paintings. The design brings the space together and balances body forms with a slightly cave-like feel. Great work by the designer. The friendly team added to the stay, especially Kjhan at Kraft restaurant, whose generosity and worldly experience made our morning. Breakfast was tasty, and the coffee deserves a special mention. Next time, I’d love warm croissants with preserves.
