Le Belmont Paris

I was in Paris a couple of days before my friends arrived and found the hotel well placed for walking to the train station, the Hop on Hop off buses, shopping, restaurants, and cafes. Later, our group of nine stayed at Hotel Belmont. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, which went against the idea that Parisians dislike Americans. We spent an evening at the bar and loved Laurent, our bartender. It seemed like everyone else did too.

We had a lovely stay. The room gave our family enough space, and getting to the Metro was easy from this perfect location. The staff were incredibly kind to our children and made everything easier. If you want to be near the Champs-Élysées or Arc de Triomphe, I can’t recommend this place more.

The guest service was phenomenal, and it’s a great spot, about a five minute walk from the Champs Elysee and a metro station. Incredible hotel. I’d highly recommend it for a Paris stay.

My main concern is still how I was treated. After the hotel replied to my review, I wasn’t satisfied with the explanation. Operational issues don’t excuse rude or unprofessional conduct, or abruptly ending a call with a guest. The response seemed to defend the behavior instead of acknowledging it, and didn’t address my concern about professionalism. I stayed one night while attending a conference where I was giving a lecture. My room wasn’t ready at the agreed check-in time and I didn’t get access until after 8:00 PM. With nowhere private or quiet to prepare, I couldn’t get ready properly and had to change in the spa bathroom. That was inappropriate and unacceptable for a professional guest. At checkout the next day, Nabil at reception spoke rudely and disrespectfully, insisting I leave right away and accusing me of ignoring checkout time, even though the room had been delivered extremely late the night before. He then hung up on me. The hotel showed no understanding, professionalism, or respect. For a place that claims to provide quality service, this was far below basic standards. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially to business or conference guests.
