The coworking spaces and common areas are a real plus. They’re great and don’t feel crowded, and the hotel is nice overall, especially for a quick stay in town. But there were a lot of problems during my five days, with almost no follow-up from reception. The room itself was basic and had what I needed, but nothing extra. It definitely wasn’t “One of a kind,” and I didn’t like that the sink was beside the bed instead of in the bathroom. Netflix wouldn’t work, and the fridge leaked. I went to reception every day about both issues, but nothing got fixed. The night receptionist said there was a technical problem with the Netflix TV connection, without saying when it might be sorted out, if at all. I put a towel down to stop the leaking water reaching the bed and changed it every day. The advertised sauna also wasn’t working and, as far as I knew, had been out of order for several weeks. I’d booked partly because of it, but there was no mention on the website when I booked. The singing booth was down too. Staff said a group had broken it several days earlier. The most frustrating part was that over all five days, no one came back with an update or any progress on the issues I’d reported. There was no compensation. Reception kept saying, “we sorry we’ll see what we can do,” but I heard nothing more, even though I passed by several times a day. I felt like a Karen for raising normal complaints, when I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable. I’m not difficult, but paying full price while basic service wasn’t provided bothered me. It felt like Disneyland charging full price while half the rides are closed, broken, or being renovated, without saying so on the website. Make sure to check before booking. I still recommend the hotel overall, especially for a short stay.

A nicely designed boutique hotel, with friendly staff, and it was very quiet. The room cleaning needs a rethink, though. A place can’t really be called clean if rooms are cleaned once every three days instead of every day, right?

We had a great week in the One of kind plus room. It was new, clean, practical, and had a nice street view. The staff were lovely, and when our flight was delayed they even let us check out late. Getting around was easy, with metro 3 and several bus stops nearby. We’d happily return. A coffee machine in the room would make it even better. Thanks, Lyf team 😁
