Room 62 was fantastic and well worth the price, in a historic boutique hotel where a walk around the corner takes you to the Louvre or Pont Neuf. The Metro and buses are close, and you can walk to the Isle and Notre Dame too. I loved looking out at the rooftops. The window has both a privacy shade and a blackout shade for sleeping in. The hotel's website shows the bedside and the decorative, non-working fireplace, but I wanted to add some other views of the room that I enjoyed. The lift was great and fit my husband, me, and both carry-on suitcases. We also tried the stairs a couple of times despite being on the 6th floor. I love a circular staircase. If you order breakfast, there's enough croissant or bread, ham, and cheese for a snack later, and having it in the room gives you time to get ready before heading out. The only drawback for Room 62 is the high bathtub, which could be difficult if you have mobility issues. It has a European-style shower and half glass. The separate toilet area is very nice, with a built-in bidet and heated seat that's lovely on a cold morning. The people were so helpful and wonderful, which made the already great location even better.

We've been coming back to Hotel Relais Du Louvre for more than a decade, including several long stays in Paris. Between the Louvre Museum and Pont Neuf, it's hard to imagine a better base. Short walks and easy Metro or bus rides get you to the sights, so you don't spend your time commuting. The hotel has kept a core team of friendly, knowledgeable staff who are happy to answer questions, give advice, or make reservations. Their English is excellent, and I've heard them speaking Spanish, German, and Italian with guests too. The rooms are all different and charming, so look at the website photos before choosing. If your budget allows, I'd pick a larger room or one facing the Cathedral across the street. I was told most guests return, and since we can't picture staying anywhere else in Paris, I can see why. It's a little hidden jewel, and we love it.

We had breakfast in our room twice during our week here, and it was very good value. For two, it came with croissants, danish, baguette, jams, yogurt, fruit muesli, coffee, tea, fresh-squeezed OJ, ham, and cheeses. Eating out is expensive, so I'd recommend it. Housekeeping did a very good job, even in tight quarters. The room was small but thoughtfully arranged, with a fridge, safe, and a window that opens onto the street. We never heard other guests, though the hotel was full. It's downtown by the Louvre, with a church across the street. We took the RER from the airport to la halles and walked about 10 minutes with our luggage. Francesca welcomed us on arrival, marked places on our map, and talked through the area, which was a level of service you don't get in most hotels. The staff were friendly and keen to help. We'd recommend this hotel.

A stylish, quiet, clean room, with friendly reception staff and thoughtful housekeeping. The boutique hotel is within walking distance of Paris's top landmarks, restaurants and cafés, a department store, and public transport. I'll definitely come back in the future!

A terrible experience. We were driving from Germany to Portugal and booked on the day we were checking in, after checking availability on several platforms. The reservation was confirmed and we'd paid a lot, since this hotel isn't cheap. But when we arrived at 23h30, exhausted from the trip, reception told us the booking had been cancelled. They just said, “I don't know. Sorry.” The booking still showed as confirmed on the website, and the hotel did nothing to help. We eventually found a very good hotel, but only after calling several places late at night and begging for a room. Completely unacceptable. Management should be ashamed.
