Camping Le Brochet

The staff were friendly, and it might work well for a one night stop. The campsite is right in the city, but the pitches are really small. If you're unlucky, the electricity socket is a long way off, so bring one or two extension leads and hope there's still a socket free. The sanitary block is very old and outdated, though it was clean.

The market is close by and there are some good dog walks nearby. The pitches are a decent size, though a few need an extra long or two EHU cables to reach the power. The toilet block is old but clean, and there's no hot water there. Staff arranged a cabin where visitors could have hot showers. The staff were very friendly, and the site is right in town.

There are memorials to many nations all around the area, a respectful reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in World War One. The staff gave us a wonderful welcome and readily shared information about the Somme. We like a friendly, spacious campsite without lots of frills, and that's what this central Peronnne site offers. The facilities are dated, but cleaned regularly.

The emplacements are a good size and bordered by hedges, and the site is quiet despite being close to the town centre. It's a small, well run municipal campsite. The bureau is open all day, and the young man in charge speaks good English and is extremely helpful. The facilities are fairly old fashioned, but there are sit down loos, capacious showers and plenty of hot water.
