Le Moulin de Chareau

Frédérique welcomed us so warmly and showed us around the property where I used to live. I celebrated my 70th birthday there with my children, in the place where I was born. The property was as magnificent as I remembered. We talked about a chapter in the history of this wonderful mill, a place my mother loved so much that she spoke about it throughout her life, right up until she died. I’d love to thank Frédérique for her kindness and generosity, but unfortunately I don’t have her number.

Everything about the place, from the buildings and park to the flowers, gives a sense of well-being and quality of life. This is a charming, peaceful mill, with buildings renovated in good taste and style. Our room was quiet and very comfortable, and breakfast was generous with plenty of variety. We’d like to return as soon as possible.

Breakfast was delicious and very generous, and we ate with herons and egrets nearby. Our room was spacious and spotless. The mill is a peaceful, enchanting place, and we really enjoyed the calm. Thank you to Frédéric for the kind, professional welcome, attentive service, and all the thoughtful touches. The setting and warm reception are both lovely.

This former group of small farmhouses has been beautifully renovated by the owners. The quiet setting and excellent bedding made for peaceful nights, and breakfast overlooking the lovely pond and its poplar trees was incomparable. We had a wonderful one-night stop during our holiday road trip.
