Boutique-Hôtel et Restaurant Basgi Basgi

My favorite hotel from our three-week trip around Corsica and Sardinia. I loved the look of the place, the bathroom products, the breakfast, and the pool. The dinners were great too. Charming, a real class act. I’m sure it’ll be five stars.

After just a few hours we felt at home and had started chatting with other guests. Coline and Matthieu are so warm and welcoming, and the staff were very attentive. We came for our first family trip with two babies and appreciated that it was family friendly while still feeling relaxing for adults, with good food and a lovely atmosphere. With only 28 rooms, it never felt crowded. The style is elegant without being pompous. We’ll be back with or without the kids, and hope to try the Sunday yoga classes next time.

We spent three nights here around September and October, and the staff were terrific, ready to handle every request. Breakfast was excellent, with homemade cakes among other things, and they’re dog friendly too. They even had a dog mattress in the bedroom. The rooms were tidy, the amenities were what you’d expect, and the poolside setting was lovely. We missed the free weekend yoga classes, which we would have enjoyed. Highly recommended, though St Florent is a 30-minute walk away.

We stayed four nights with friends and found the service fantastic, with a very helpful reception team. The hotel has cool retro-chic decor, kept immaculate, and lovely landscaping. The clean pool was just the right temperature. Food and drinks were excellent and mostly sourced locally. It’s an easy five-minute walk to the beach and Bar Nautique, a very cool spot for delicious food and drinks. St Florent is about a 25-minute walk or six-minute drive.
