The local-produce breakfast and a peaceful night's sleep are part of the welcome here. Set in the lovely Morvan, this charming place feels especially warm thanks to its hosts. You could stay for a night, a week, even a whole season. They make you feel like family, so leaving is the hard part.

We were 11 and had a great dinner, night, and breakfast. Jean and Anita made the stay especially good. It's a lovely little spot in the Morvan, and booking it was an easy decision. We wouldn't regret it.

Maison Jarso worked really well for our family of two adults and our 2.5-year-old daughter. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, and shared useful tips for exploring the area. We would happily come back, and stay longer than one night next time. The shared dining room was a highlight, with games and toys for all ages. It was a lovely place to spend time, especially on rainy days, and our daughter loved it. We could even take games into our room. That room was clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped private kitchen that had everything we needed, a pleasant shower, and parking right beside it. Breakfast was tasty, varied, and included homemade products. There's plenty to do nearby: walks on natural trails, Vezelay, the lake in Lormes for a swim on a sunny day, and the nearby castle of Bazoch (?) as an indoor option. We warmly recommend it to couples and families with children.

We were lucky to come across Maison Jarso on our trip, and we definitely want to return. The house has been turned into a remarkable guesthouse with real care and skill, while keeping the character and charm of a building typical of old France. It's all clean and tidy, in a quiet village with a beautiful setting. Jan and Anita are the sort of hosts you could only wish for. They're friendly and welcoming, and we hope they continue to do well.

The rain brought us in by bike earlier than planned, and our hosts welcomed us so warmly. We dried our things by the wood-burning stove, then settled into the comfortable rooms and dining area. It felt like home. Thank you!
