Du Cote De Chez Anne

Anne made us feel so welcome, and gave us great suggestions for nearby dinner restaurants. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, poached eggs, coffee, and several juices. The house felt straight out of a fairy tale, especially dressed for Christmas in rustic French country style with twinkling lights, garlands, wreaths, and trees. A crackling fire by the dining area made it warm and cozy. We had a magical stay at du cote chez anne, and found it perfectly placed for visiting marche de Noel in Strasbourg by taxi. Highly recommended!

The breakfast Anne made all by herself was mindblowing, and the individually decorated rooms were all amazing. We rented almost all the units, and every one felt bespoke. Du Cote De Chez Anne is exactly the kind of boutique hotel we hoped for, with Anne as a wonderful owner and host. She welcomed us warmly and thought of everything, from rose petal soaps by each vanity sink to mandarin oranges, candies, chocolates, and bath spa capsules. Her care and attention made our stay so pleasant. It's a perfect hotel in a perfect location, and we'd definitely return when we're in town.

Anne was such a sweet, kind host, and she had bikes ready for guests to use. Her breakfast was the heartiest. The house is beautiful, decorated thoughtfully in every corner, and with only five guest rooms it feels quite private. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. This was my husband's and my first chambre d'hotes stay, since we wanted something different, and we liked it more than many hotels.

We wanted a small wedding surrounded only by the people we love, with every guest feeling happy, loved, and inspired. Lorraine or Alsace mattered to us because our love story began there, and we needed a place for September 14, 2019, with a magical, intimate, family feel and an owner who loved her work. In February 2019, I searched online for somewhere chic, romantic, charming, and cozy for our one special day. We visited a few places in Strasbourg, four hours from home, on a cold, rainy Saturday. The first ones felt like compromises, and by the time we were driving to Anne's, our last stop, we were worried and pessimistic. Then we saw Anne's Hotel and garden. Inside, we met Anne, who was smiling, open, and caring. Despite the grey, rainy weather, the house felt warm and welcoming. It's hard to explain, but we felt cared for and at home, and didn't want to leave. After Anne described how she'd help with the wedding, we knew we'd found our place. My family and maid of honor lived far away and couldn't help with preparations, but Anne supported me all the way. She was a friend, mother, and wedding adviser, helping with decorations, music, timings, and countless other things. Her love for her work took so much of the stress away. She was there before, during, and after the wedding, and I'll never thank her enough for how happy we were that weekend. The food was a highlight: delicious French breakfast, brunch, and dinner. Our guests from France, Germany, Russia, Mexico, and Spain all said it exceeded their expectations. Anne also created the stylish, romantic wedding decorations I'd seen in fancy magazines. Her five hotel rooms are exclusive and beautiful. Our closest friends stayed there, and every one of them loved their room. Photos online don't compare with seeing the rooms in person. Anne can take your ideas, even difficult or last-minute ones, and bring them to life beyond what you imagined. She was flexible throughout the planning and on the day itself. Above all, her personality is incredible: she's happy, caring, smiling, committed, and loving, and puts her heart into making people happy. I'd recommend Anne's place for a romantic weekend, a wedding reception, or any stay in Strasbourg. You'll remember her and "Du cote de chez Anne" forever. =)
