Origami Hotel

The location by the Rotonde made parking and tram access very convenient, and it was an affordable way to get unlimited use of the Strasbourg transit system. The room was clean and well kept, and the staff were courteous and very helpful. There were at least four languages available at the front desk at any given time. The bar served good food and fresh local seasonal beer. We had a wonderful stay and will be back.

We booked the Family Room for our family of four. It had a queen bed in one room and three single beds in another, which worked great for us. Check-in was easy, and we were impressed with the room. The hotel was clean, cute, quiet, and the staff were all helpful and nice. From the train station we walked about 20 minutes, but the train is handy: the hotel is three stops from the town center and Christmas markets, and Rotonde stop is a five-minute walk away. There's a great Patisserie/Bulangerie just before the stop. Across the street is an ice skating rink, with disco skating from 8:30pm-11pm most days as far as we could tell. Skate rental was cheap, and it was fun with the family. We'd definitely stay here again.

We booked at the last minute during the festive season, when the city had no availability, and ended up here. Reception were helpful, check-in was quick, and they gave us a city map and information on getting around and visiting the Christmas markets. The room was cleaned daily. The area is very quiet and not lively, and the hotel isn't close to the center or the station. It's a five-minute walk to the tram, one stop to the train station and two to the center. The room was small and basic, with a little window and not enough room to open our luggage. No dental kit or slippers were provided, and toothpaste costs two euros. Breakfast was very basic, with pancakes, bread, eggs, fruit, cereal and so on, and cost 16 euros per person. You have to collect your own plates, which made it feel like a hostel. See pictures 📸

We used the nearby P+R for parking. It was under 8 euros a day and included a daily public transport pass for up to seven people. Breakfast cost a bit much, but the buffet was plentiful. The idea here is simple, but it has what you need: comfortable beds, a clean room, and surprisingly good shower gel.
