Le Jean-Sebastien Bach

The room was clean and spacious, with a fridge, kitchenette, microwave, and everything else I needed. It had radiators I could switch on myself. They were enough to keep it from feeling cold, even with -2°C outside, though I would have liked the room a little warmer. The residence is about a 30-minute walk from the city center. I had my own car and didn’t check public transport. Parking right in front was convenient, especially with the EasyPark app. It’s paid until 7 PM, then free until 8 AM.

The location and friendly staff, along with the decent price, are why I gave it four stars, though breakfast isn’t included in that praise. We liked the room’s balcony and the underground parking boxes too. The room was spacious, but felt tired and in need of some care. It didn’t seem like there was a cleaning service, and parts of the carpet need attention. Breakfast is fine if you just want something quick, but it doesn’t feel worth 20 euros. The croissants and petit pains seemed a bit dry and leftover.

The location was good and quiet. Thanks to Oumar, everything went smoothly during my stay. He was helpful, polite, and quick to sort out any issues. This isn’t the first time I’ve been able to count on his prompt, professional help.

This hotel seems proud to have missed a few updates, and honestly, I didn’t mind much. It has the charm of a place that knows exactly which decade it belongs to and doesn’t pretend otherwise. Breakfast is acceptable and covers the usual basics. Vegetables, though, seem to have been left out completely. No tomatoes, cucumbers, not even a decorative leaf to suggest photosynthesis ever happened. I’m just asking for one brave vegetable to show up and prove vitamins are welcome before lunch.
