We had enough room for two adults and four full-sized suitcases, which was a real help over our five-night stay at Novotel Strasbourg Centre Halles. We picked it for its location: the Christmas markets are about a 10-15 minute walk away, the main station is roughly 10 minutes on foot, and there's a mall right next door with shops and food options. It was a comfortable stay, though the street got loud at night. Even from the 5th floor, we could hear people talking and shouting outside as late as 3 a.m., and that disturbed our sleep on some nights. The hotel is expensive during the holiday season, but if you love Christmas and the festive markets, I suppose that's part of the deal.

The staff were rude and unprofessional, and didn't offer real help. Their proposed fix was to put us in separate rooms on different floors, despite our booking being for two adults and two children. That's no way to handle a family. I'd requested a baby cot a month before we arrived, but never got a reply or confirmation. When we showed up around 9 p.m., they simply refused us accommodation, and we lost the first night of our stay. Being left without a room late at night while traveling with children was unacceptable. This place is badly managed and doesn't respect its guests. I strongly do NOT recommend it, especially for families. Avoid it if you want to spare yourself the stress, wasted time, and disappointment.

The toilet and shower were in separate rooms, and there was no sink by the toilet, so I had to go into the shower room to wash my hands after using it. That was the one thing I disliked. Otherwise the location was great and the staff were great. The rooms, like the others in this chain, were spacious and clean, though the hotel is fairly old and needs renovation. I didn't try breakfast, so I can't comment on it.

We had a comfortable stay, with plenty of room for our luggage and everything else. The rooms were a good size for a family of three, and they made the sofa into a single bed for our child. Great location and very convenient. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had so much space in our room, which was surprisingly large by European standards. The only reason I gave the stay 9 out of 10 was that the built-in bathroom hair dryer only blew cold air. I told the front desk, but they couldn't bring another one until the next morning. The hotel is next to a shopping center with a grocery store, so we bought ham, cheese, butter, a baguette, fruit, and yogurt and had a picnic breakfast in the room. The tram stops right in front, and it's one stop to Strasbourg's train station. There are yellow, blue, and green bins by the lobby elevators. Labels saying which was for garbage, recycling, and compost would have helped. I assume green was for compost, and wanted to sort things properly for the cleaning staff, who empty the bins every day.
